When i needed to save money drastically i handed my car back to Volkswagen and bought a banger..

Also cut down on things like internet and tv to basic packages or just get freeview for a bit until your in a better position..

if you have credit card debts speak to the company and tell them you are in difficulties and arrange a better payment option until you can afford to increase them, same with loans..

worst thing you can do is ignore it mate

ive got some idiots for Citroen Finance chasing me for roughly 3k
For a car ive never owned
with a registration ive never heard of...

All the other details they had where corret though, previous employer, addresses etc...

Apparently im getting taken to court, i told them over the phone i get a call a day asking to pay the outstanding and they get seriously agro when i continualy explain i have no idea wtf theyre banging on about.
Apparently im supposed to show proof ive never owned this car... how the hell do you prove a negative?

Its got to the point now where im taking the piss on the phone, they call and i grab my cheek and rattle it to make spanky sounds and moan "oooh talk dirty to me" down the phone

matey, screw the ballifs. if it does go to court, this could be your best option because there say is final. my brother went to court for his council tax. they asked him what he could afford on a monthly basis and made arrangments for him to pay the amount. i think he ended up paying ?5 a week to settle up

I am afraid the council tax will have to be paid, but if you got any credit cards you can freeze them or offer to pay something but not the full amount until you can afford to pay more.

I know someone that got blacklisted and say it was the best thing that could happen to them as all their debt was written off.

Hope you get sorted m8 as i know what it is like , i was made redundant about 10 years ago and was struggling , but as long as your mortgage gets paid thats number 1 priority, after that comes the food to feed the family, then gas and electric, council tax. the rest can sing for their money , you will be threatened with court but they wont have the bollocks to actually take you there.

As the good folks have said your best bet is to see the C.A.B. Sort out a managable amount you can pay.

im going to be going down the same road citizens advice for me i have just cancelled me loan for ?300 a month and me car is finance at ?230 a month it has 2 year left

council tax is one thing that has to be paid m8 or you can end up in jail just offer a token gesture of ?10 per month they wont be happy but will have to accept it in the end i think

btw anyone know anything about chargbacks on the land registry of your house i think i have one from a credit card years ago can they put it on the house as its not the wifes debt it is just mine the mortgage is in joint names
