have you approaced them and told them you are finding it difficult to make payments..?? Offer them a half decent amount per month, so long as you pay something each month no court in the land will find in thier favour

Get in touch with Citizens Advice immediately. They will sort it out for you and make appropriate arrangements for payment. Good luck.

i'd agree with forntida and get in touch with c.a.b sam m8.

i got in trouble with mine last year or the year before and they called the bailiffs out for me, bunch of w@nkers, they too wanted stupid amounts (more than what the counil wanted), managed to hold them off for a few months then i had to pay it all off in a lump sum. i rang the helpline and what ~~~~ed me up was the fact i had willingly let them into my house to survey what goods i had right at the start of it, and once they have been let in willingly (they cant force way into house the first time) they had the right to come back and break in they wanted to.

Dont know if the following bit is true but i heard that if you havent let them in to survey your goods and next time they come (keeps doors and windows closed) push about a quid through the letter box then thats classed as you paying off the debt

                  sorry to here this m8
you got to keep in contact with them by phone or post to resolve it that way, dont speak to any baliffs at the door or open it to them as they could enter if a court order is given
hope it works in your favour
just try and keep on top of it

bailiffs can only break in with a court order and a policeman present.

defo go to the cit advice bureau. i trained with them last year when i was out of work (so bored but wanted to do something worthwhile) unfortunately i couldnt continue with this as i got a job but wished i could have as it was so rewarding. they can sort you out.

if you earn under ?13000 mind and apply for tax credits. its sometimes worthwhile working less hours ie not full time to qualify for tax credits. thats what i did in starting with the dwp - 32 hrs a week so im under the limit. if i can help pm me.

do you have anything on HP you can hand back..??

When i needed to save money drastically i handed my car back to Volkswagen and bought a banger..

Also cut down on things like internet and tv to basic packages or just get freeview for a bit until your in a better position..

if you have credit card debts speak to the company and tell them you are in difficulties and arrange a better payment option until you can afford to increase them, same with loans..

worst thing you can do is ignore it mate
