    VM Free 10mb Upgrade

    Hello Guys,
Just came home and found a letter from Virgin about free 10mb upgrade 'no strings, no ties. Just faster broadband for you to enjoy for free'. All you had to do was just go to the web page in the letter and sign up for the upgrade. Is this actually free or they just doing it to tempt me for a month and then start charging me next month? Anyone else recieved one of these letters and signed up for the upgrade?

Depending on what package you got mate.

I know that i was upgraded from 4 meg to 10. That was a standard upgrade no extra charge.

The 10 meg went to 20 also free.

If they say it is free then it most likely is mate.

I have the minimum package for phone, TV and 2mb BB. In the past I remember everyone got upgraded region by region without anyone having to register for the upgrade so I am a little dubious this time when they ask you to sign up for the free upgrade.

No harm in giving them a call mate.

Never had any problems with virgin in the past when it came to stopping services..upgrade downgrade etc.

The bandwidth they have is enormous so i think its genuine proposal.

        Give them a call.

            They wont charge you.

Virgin are dedicated to providing substantial bandwidth and are known as the leading broadband provider.

10 meg line is nothing to them.

I was upgraded to 20 meg recently and in about 3 months time will go to 50 meg.

It says in the link that 2mb customers will be upgraded free but will eventually pay more than the current ?10 they pay for the 2mb a month but less than the ?14 a month currently paid by the 10mb customers.

I was going to call VM today and cancel one of the services hoping that they would then upgrade me free to the 10mb service. This is what a few of my work mates have done and got free upgrades.

Tell them sky have offered you 8 meg for nothing if you take the 16 quid a month package.

That put the skeets up them.

VM are upgrading 2mb customers to 10mb in my area. I have signed up for it a little while ago. BUT they have already put the price up by a few pounds though. It not the full 10mb price.
