No they used to have that problem but were adapted. What I want to know is "Can the difference between a SPECS2 and SPECS3 camera be easily spotted?" SPECS 3 can read rear number plates, whereas previous models couldn't

To make it worse SPECS3 can be networked to cover roads on and off a motorway, so if ones see's you on a motorway, then you take the slip road, speed along the A road at a great rate of knots before you spot the a road camera, it is capable of calculating speed between motorway and when it saw you on the A road. Invoice will be in the post. I dare say when it comes to road charging they will use something similar. Did you really think that 'smart' motorways/roads were there to help you?

          On which part?

          SPECS3 networking - http://www.speedcheck.co.uk/SPECS3_overview.pdf
          SPECS3 rear number plates - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/SPECS3...eware-4807.php
          Smart motorways - https://www.gov.uk/government/collec...mart-motorways

Road charging has been on the cards for a while. The price of taxing a car is dropping. Dave's already said he wants to sell the road network to private companies. How else are they going to make a big profit for shareholders, charge the cash cow motorist of course.

          Sell off roads - http://www.theguardian.com/politics/...sell-off-roads

Add privatising roads, falling cost of road tax, SPECS3 and you have a means to charge 'customers' for the miles they drive. Drive by invoice.

Hands up anyone who knows of a company that a government privatised, with the excuse that it was costing too much, that's made a loss.......

Bit pointless really because it picks up someone using a mobile in the car/vehicle..................3-4 passengers in the car or even 52 passengers in a coach and all of them could be using a mobile phone while the driver isn't.
Another complete waste of money !!!
