Holiday Ripoff.

I always go for self catering as the wife and I prefer being able to get up when we want and do as we please rather be tied down by the hotels timetable. We used to find that we got some really fantastic last minute cheap deals when there were only four of us but this changed when we became five in the family. I can still still remember going to Salou for ?529 for four for a week self catering.

most hotel rooms in florida come with 2 double beds but dont know if that would suit?? check with the hotel before booking.

i always go self catering as well as i dont set myself any time limits when on holiday. i like to go out and eat in diff places as well. ive been thinking of egypt for next year but that would prob be all inclusive and i dont know if id like the restrictions on that.

pumps these days the earlier you book the cheaper it is. ive just booked flights for tenerife for end august next year - ?245 for the 2 of us - return flights and great flight times.

Ah yer see, Mrs Pumpy doesnt book holidays that way (like normal peeps), She looks for a good hotel she wants to stop in then see's if she fancy's the resort and area... Probably the wrong way to go about it but she's picked some damn good hotels over the years.

Not being funny here m8 as it's each to their own. But when i book a holiday i look at the resort and what it has to offer.Hotels are for mainly sleeping in unless you go All inclusive. Why don't you lok for a holiday which appeals to you and show the missus then look for a hotel there. It might be worth a try and you will probably still be able to get the bathroom done too

gotta agree with bulldog - its the resort thats the most important. i once stayed in a hotel in playa d'en bossa. fantastic hotel it was but the resort wasnt up too much.

if you give an idea of where you are thinking of maybe peeps can recommend somewhere etc (wouldnt the holiday/resort/hotel etc forum be a good idea now)
