    Anyone watched District 9?

    I watched it last night and i dont know what to make of it, its a very clever film with the veiled references to many of the problems that have happened in south africa.

    I enjoyed watching it although some parts were a bit concience *****ing, but overall a good film.

    anyone else seen it?

          Got it yesterday gonna watch it later. Got it first without any subs. Which is pretty useless when the Aliens are talking

          The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

                      Does it have the same style as "alive in joberg" the short film its based on. I would like to see it, it looks pretty interesting

                                  i watched it without the subs - still got the jist of it - i think.

                                  awesome film, the main bloke was really good but some really gruesome bits. for a minute i thought they were going to open his chest with him still alive !!!!!!!

                                      Yeah I've seen it. Excellent film in my opinion. I thought it was very clever. Brilliant first role for the leading actor too. Also It's left open for a follow-on. should be good :-)

                                              Would hardly say the references are "veiled". Excellent flic but I fear the crits are going to lay too much meaning on the connotations rather than let it be enjoyed simply as a SA influenced movie.

                                              Also one of the biggest tee-ups for a sequel i have ever seen in my life
