    Lorry carrying 12m bees overturns

Quotes from the above news item

"Experts said it was unlikely that the bees would survive very long without the care of experienced beekeepers"

Why? Don't they do just fine on their own normally or do these ones need special care?

Richard Duplain, vice president of the New Brunswick Beekeepers Association, told AP news agency the bees would quite likely be angered by their ordeal. "You certainly don't want to go walking through a field of disoriented, agitated and wet honey bees," he said.

I think I'd be f***ing angry too if my mobile home was in a road accident and then people kept soaking me with water.

looks like im a bee keeper at the min, theres a hive in my shed, i keep seeing them in and out all day,

dont mind bees but those ~~~~ing wasps are a different story.

i didnt even know i had bees and i went in the shed to get something and i was making a right noise moving stuff about, didnt even know they where there as they didnt come to see me off.

bet at the end of summer i have a crash helmet with a bees nest in it, now in some circles thats art. if they have i,ll bung it on ebay as up market snob art.

how many of you have a used bees nest in a crash helmet .
