i find it odd that on the news on any channel bbc or itv the person reading the news says for the sport news we will go to another presenter who then is in the studio reading the sport off a auto cue a desk away surely the newscaster reading the news could read the sport news as well

Like wise with weather good question. Perhaps the sports person has done their research on the sweaty jockstrap wearing person and wants to read it out.
