    New DIY Project Part 1

Well... the time has come for a new bathroom and toilet makeover.

The misses loves to keep me busy.. LOL

Its costing a fortune, so i thought i would share it with you lot.

i will try to keep the thread up to date as i go along, but took me 2 days to chizel the old tiles off in the toilet, as they were tiles on top of the original tiles that had been cemented on in the 1950s.

I have a fat left hand due to the hammer slipping off the chizel a few times, so had to buy a new one with a protective rubber stopper.

Toilet all stripped bare, gonna plaster board it out on Monday, and plaster the ceiling, drill holes through for cables for some spotlights.

Tuesday will start tiling, got a good mate who is helping out.

Take it your just gonna re-board and tile?you can get that 'aqua' board stuff for walls likely to get wet etc.
Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

Oh this brings back memories, i did the same thing only last year and what a transformation, only regret i had with mine is i never created a wetroom floor.

I got blue led lighting in ceiling that match the shower/bath unit. Had to install spotlight at later date as there was not enough light and yes she got her own way and its a blue led spotlight.

When its dark the lightening is very effective

                              Sat and Sun

Did not get that much done due to missing parts in shower, back and forward to the Plumbing centre trying to sort leak out from outlet on shower, now thats sorted found out "O" ring in waste pipe was ~~~~ed, had to go and sort that out, apart from that i nearle was killed , i lost the car going round a bend, did a couple of spins, hit the brakes and just missed the curb on the other side of the road, i managed to stop car in opposite direction.
