What does everyone think of the debate?
My thoughts are that Nick Clegg came off the best out of the 3 and David Cameron the worst. To me this could result in turning Tory voters into LibDem voters, keeping Labour in power.
Ultimately though I take what the Lib Dems say with a pinch of salt. They make promises and say things that they know they will be unable to deliver on, yet still make them to win votes.
Being realistic they know that they will not win enough seats to form a government and will not have to deliver on their promises.
Furthermore, at a local level, my Lib Dem MP (Andrew Stunnell) has based every election campaign he has been running in (since 1992) on voting for Lib Dem to keep the Tories out. It is a traditionally Tory constituency so no Labour candidate has a realistic chance of getting in. In my constituency Lib Dems are just a protest vote for people who are dissatisfied with the Tories and refuse to vote Laboour, and I expect that this is also the same in other constituencies and also applies to dissatisfied Labour supporters who refuse to vote Tory. I don't think many people actually want a LibDem MP.
