newbie to Daemon lite help please

Hi Im new to file sharing and constructing files from segmented formats such as rar files.
I have downloded a set of rar files and installed daemon lite and extracted the files which has givem me two files an MDS file and an MDF file. I have opened daemon tools and it only sees the smaler MDS file.
Where do i go from here to mount them which i presume generates the original files im requiring. Can someone pont me in the right direction or a link that explains how this works for a complete novice

Thanks I found out Daemon tools hadnt installed properly and wouldnt create a virtual drive. Re installed and now its working great
