Hi, i've taken the machine apart and found that that Anvil has shattered. This is the part that strikes the chisel. I've sorced the part off the net but need to know how to degrease and clean all the metal debri out of the machine before i put the new anvil in. I've heard petrol can be used but has anyone any experience at this, thanks Donka.

I wouldn't use petrol mate as it can give vapours for a lengthy time and that could ignite, diesel is a good to degrease thing's with or just nip to a motorist discount center and pick up a can of Jizer, also when you have de-greased it, it is a good idea to blow it out with a air pressure hose just to remove any stubborn fragment's....chuck
