Hi all just interested to get peoples views. I just renewed my virgin and upgraded from just phone and broadband to all 3. When i first rang they said i could have v+hd for nowt saving ?49. But unless i agreed now they couldn't guarantee it again. I thought bullshxt and declined. I rang back a couple of day's later and they said i couldn't have the free box and wrongly said i was in a contract because i changed my phone no. a few months ago and so was unable to cancel. Twice more i rang and they said i was still in a contract, i said it should now be on the system that i'm not and after a while they agreed and the bloke said best time to ring is the start of the month. Sorry trying to cut a long story short here's what i agreed.
1 x XL tv
1 x evening and weekend calls
1 x sky sports
1 x V+hd (free)
1 x spare v box for bedroom
All for ?67 i thought i've done well by getting free box then realised it's all over the place that you get first 2 months free. So left it a couple of days and phoned back about this and they told me i cut my own deal which works out better than recieving the first 2 months free as i got free box plus a cheaper package. What they were saying was no one gets free box and first two months. I told them i wasn't happy as this was thier main selling point splashed about everywhere and i thought it was automatic. (i new it wasn't) Any managed to sqeeze 5 monthe free movies also.
What do people think of this deal and my advise to anyone is when speaking to reps of virmin get names and times if they offer you stuff as the next one you talk to will deny any knowledge.
