scammed anything i can do

i appear to have been scammed by a user on here they private message me offering a remap service for my car claiming to be a well know service
they add me on whatapp take my payment with paypal friends family method then they say they will be 15 mins and afterwards
no reply whatsoever where do i stand with this any thoughts appreciated

If you had not reported this person for offering unsolicited services via PM, then that's on you. You took the chance
