                It is actually Electro-Rock

From Wkipedia:-Electronic rock, also commonly referred to as electrorock, digital rock, or synthrock is the combination of electronic music with traditional rock music.

Just what is 'traditional rock music'? From where I'm sat it seems like every new band has to have a new description/genre of music associated to their 'music'(?).

Here lies the legacy of the PR morons from the music industry.

Rock 'n' roll, soft rock, rock ballads, rock, metal, heavy metal, thrash metal, new metal....... then a bunch of subsitute names for the endless dribble put out by the record labels.

Now I'm not that old, but to me when someone say's they listen to R'n'B... I expect that to mean Rhythm and blues... not a danced up version of bastardised hip hop.

I'm a 70's & 80's child. To my ears there's nothing of rock in those videos.

I don't care who plays what instument . How big the venue is, who the promoter is. all I care about is...
It sounds good... they are having a good time.... We are haveing good time. Simples

I find local venues with good musicians and I mean musicians not backing tracks . that's where the real action is

Regardless of genre I like all music, from Classical through to Grindcore.

I enjoy Music for what it is regardless of what genre, they are all artists in their own right, it doesnt matter if they write their own songs or have it totally produced by someone else, their has to be some talent or it would never get the general publics attention either by airplay or charts or downloads.................

Personally I plan to grow old with style... my style

If I end up in a home with young ones treating me like a kid .. then they better watch out....I will not stand for that... but I do believe you can hit people when you are old and it is overlooked as you being a bit doolallay. well I will not go down gracefully or without a fight . I WILL be treated with respect and given the freedom to go out and get pissed or totally stuffed to the gunnels with fab food and drink..

ANYONE who stands in my.. better had a dam good reason or they are in trouble

Money speaks volumes. How many times have the words 'Award winning' & 'Hit single', been mentioned on ads for new bands/artists debut album? How much money do the labels pour into selling these products?

Now I have a very wide & strange taste in music. But there are limits to that taste, dance music and derivitives there of do not get played on any of my devices. Maybe I'm turning into an old man.

One of my favorite albums is from a little know artist called Hint. The album is called '[ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Portakabin-Fever-Hint/dp/B00007IFRF"]Portacabin Fever[/ame]'. I have never heard a track played on the radio, I've never seen it advertised on tv, there have not been any hit singles..... But you have heard the music, I guarentee it. Topgear & The Gadget show have used tracks, as have advertising companies. I think I counted 4 consecutive Topgear shows where they used tracks from the album.

But this security guard who composed the album while working in a portacabin, has not had the exposure & PR campaign of other new artists. So only a few know his music, not the masses.
