Thinking of changing to electric shaver anyone know of one that gives a similar result as a wet shave. Don't think there's any that will be as good but what's the best. It's not like you can try before you buy wiyh these.

I use a top end Philishave, not cheap (?160), but it's the best electric shaver I've used,
the only part of my face it doesn't seem to shave clean, is around my adams apple,
like you say, you'll never get a shaver to get as close as a wet shave, but Philishave is as good as you'll get,
one other thing is, you might only have a wet shave every 2/3 days, with an electric you have to shave every day.

dont get the one my wife bought me,cant remember the name,but it had two round coil cutters,i never knew they was blunt either.they never cut my beard ,they just twisted it round and round till the razor was stuck to my face,it happened in a flash,it was so ~~~~ing painfull,put me off electric razors for life,,,,i was so unimpressed i never bought the company ,,,,sure it was a remmington

There's nothing as good as a wet shave..

I use a Gillette 5 Blade job but I also have one of these for when i go on exercise..

You can still use it with shaving gel / foam and rinse it like you would a normal razor..

It's on a massive discount a Amazon at the moment...!!

Anyone else use a cutthroat? i'm lax enough about shaving and by the time i get around to it i usually have too much beard for the safety razor.the mrs bought me one, can rip a full beard off your face in no time, with no pain.

I've had 3 stitches in my finger and then not two weeks later 3 in my thumb for slicing myself open twice with a bread-knife cutting bagels..

wahl make the best,comes with a standalone charger,,used in most gents salons,,about 50 quid if my memory serves me correct,,its the dogs gonads
no more itchyness no more cuts no rashes etc etc,,,has graders included aswell so you can do your stubble etc or give yourself a skinhead
ask santa for one and you might be lucky

A pal of mine uses the Braun 5 series on his entire face and head. He reckons it's as close as he's ever had to a wet shave.

I'm in two minds about trying one out. I don't get a proper beard but it's thickening up as I'm getting older (I'm 34 now). I'm a lazy sod when it comes to shaving though.

Ive found that the phillips triple headed electric razor is by far the best for a clean shave but even that still leaves a fair bit stubble around the anus
