    Just a side note - when my 3 kids were taking their A levels I found the marking schemes very helpful as they give an idea as to what is required by the markers in order to answer the question.

    Your kids college should be able to provide past papers even if you have to go over the teachers head to the head of department.

      The teacher is the head of department and the email she sent me in answer to my request for specimen answers and some help basically said "~~~~ off, he should have worked harder, it's too late now".
