    Sky Broadband

Hi, I have Sky Broadband unlimited upto 20mb using a bt phone line. The exchange is 120 Metres away.
    Here are my speedtest results:

Is this normal. I know that its only upto 20mb but since i live right by the exchange, should my speeds be much better than half??

Ok just because the exchange is 120 metres away, dont mean your cable will be only 120m. Although I would expect much higher speeds than 10mb if your that close.

Are you sure the exchange has been upgraded to offer 20mb? If not then, that'll be the reason why. I would speak to sky, and ask for them to do some checks. You will never actually get full speed off a dsl line, but you should get much closer to 20mb than you are. I would guess that either the config is set wrong on the ras, or your exchange dont support 20mb. Either way, contact sky and complain about the service, and demand an engineer, it could also be your router, so try another if you have one.

Your config was obviously setup wrong on the ras.
