thinking of getting a c.b. for my van,just a cheapie from flea bay to have a laff,havent used one for years,so anyone reccomend a half decent one? cheers in advance

Same as always get a Cobra one thats modded to SSB too.
If not go for something like a Cobra 148 where modding is a piece of piss and theres plenty of support
Not been on the band in a long time the scene has died a hell of a lot since back in the day and a lot of users made the shift to SSB due to its superior DXing without any real need for a burner or the like on the conventional band.
Make sure and pick up a SWR meter too and tune your aerial as best you can, id hold off tuning fully till you find a channel/band that's well populated and then just tune it right up to that frequency (Do this on the low wattage setting so you dont harrass everyone else on the channel)He who laughs last thinks slowest. -
