Lanie, mine has gone walkabouts as well I've not seen him since Saturday, so maybe it's season time for the girlie's,
that's what I'm hoping, that he's stalking some female somewhere.

Our tom went missing for 9 days two years ago.As best we can make out is he got caught in a wheelie bin and was flung into bin lorry where he had tail almost severed. Came back in dreadful state, took him to vet and had tail amputated ,now looks like a manx cat and he goes berserk every week when the bin lorry comes.
So Lainie, they say that cats always have two homes and I'm sure yours will turn up soon.

Our Cat at one point disappeared for a few days, then out the blue, little miss Madame was there waiting to get back in the house. I think its just the way cats are.

Dont worry Lainie, your one will appear soon.

I've used an airsoft rifle to deter a cat, in the past. It works for a week or so then they come back.
My pooch is a lurcher cross (1/4 greyhound, 1\2 staff & 1\4 unknown), he's the same height as a whippet but with a heavier frame & muscle build. Fast as ~~~~ & can hit top speed in 3 steps. The greyhound/lurcher in him loves to chase small animals (by small I mean anything from german sheppard & dalmation down over).
There's nothing funnier than a cocky cat that suddenly realises it's in serious trouble. I should add that he's never hurt a cat, just scares the hell out of 'em. But he's the best cat deterent I've ever seen.

Lainie, my friends tom cat went missing before christmas. He turned back up, strutting about, 3 days later. Best guess is he either got trapped in a garage or went on a 3 day whore binge.

I wouldn't worry to much Lainie, you will now appreciate the saying, "Loyalty of a Tom cat".... he's probably been side tracked with a big fat juicy trout or smitten with a bit of fluff, as Arnold Schwartzenegger say's, "I'll be back"......
