the countries on either side of them have revolted so this lot are off as well.the price of fuel will soar, and this will go on forever and no doubt thousands of innocent people will die while greedy, inept and corrupt governments wring their hands, the world has gone bonkers,it will be interesting to see who sells arms to who as this pans out

It started when Tony Blair was made the middle east peace envoy,
if he brings anymore peace to the middle east there wont be anyone left
remember the pictures of him sucking up to Gaddafi a few years ago, I bet he feels a complete nob now,
they go and release the Lockerbie bomber, then Gaddafi starts bombing his own people, the irony.

Heres my wee uninformed take on it; I think the whole middle east situation has been manipulated by the west/yanks/cia. Not unlike the propaganda war waged in former soviet bloc countries by the yanks. I think the yanks want the middle east destabilised so their rich multi-nationals can exploit the situation for profit. It is, to my mind, an ideological undermining of a different system not unlike capitalism v communism/socialism. As Marx predicted, capitalism will eventually conquer the world, hopefully his other prediction (the working class will overthrow capitalism when all across the planet realise it is working against our interests) will come true. I also think we need to heed the lessons of the past, whenever we have been in major economic downturns, world ideologies/governments turn to world wars. I think with the west on a more right wing slant (pushing for less state intervention, more privatisation) the likelihood of world war is a distinct possibility in the not too distant future
