POLICE chiefs on terror alert after the death of Osama Bin Laden put a community support officer outside an Indian takeaway, it is claimed.
They acted after their rural force was told there could be fallout in Britain following the shooting of the al-Qaeda chief in Pakistan on May 2.
The claim is made by a serving inspector who writes an internet blog read by thousands.
The cop, believed to work in a county near London, said: "We had to put up with a nonsense briefing from a Special Branch officer.
"We were warned of the dangers of a lack of vigilance.
"Management responded by allocating a PCSO to keep an eye on the local takeaway. I kid you not."
The blogger, who calls himself Inspector Gadget, added: "Are we old-fashioned British eccentrics, or just really, really pants? Time will tell."
