Sir Alex Ferguson talks in-depth with BBC Sport's Dan Walker about his "rollercoaster of success" during his 26 years as Manchester United manager.
In a rare one-on-one interview, Ferguson reveals he spoke to Arsene Wenger for "a couple of months" in order to negotiate the signing of Robin van Persie, and reveals his infamous "mind games" are nothing more than a myth, and says he alone will decide when his tenure at Old Trafford will come to an end.
Ferguson, 71, is the most successful manager in British football history, winning 37 trophies including 12 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues
Brilliant interview, great man.

Its going to increase all the more why have Stoke got a new keeper is begovic on his way in summer? will he be number 1 or 2 if he cameDavid De Gea could make a return to Atletico Madrid
Monday February 4,2013
By Charles Perrin
MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper David de Gea has been sounded for a potential return to his old club Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has grown tired of de Gea, who has been at fault for some of the soft goals conceded this season by United and question marks are still raised over his ability to collect crosses.
De Gea has been the subject of mounting transfer speculation, with Barcelona reportedly putting him on a shortlist of goalkeepers to replace Victor Valdes.
But a move to his old club Atletico Madrid could be on the cards, as he is poised for the Old Trafford exit in the summer.
Spanish football site fichajes.net claims Atletico are weighing up their options and they are trying to convince current keeper Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan from Chelsea, to sign a permanent deal.
But they also suggest if that fails, that they will make a move for De Gea.
The Spaniard joined United in June 2011 from the La Liga outfit for a fee of ?18.9m.

This guy is constantly under scrutiny, don't know where these papers are getting this from, do they do absolutely no research!
I cant see him giving up on him this early tbh not at the price he paid anyway, but i still do not think he is ready for us tbh
he makes some excellent reaction saves but his all round game is still weak, he flaps and fumbles he does not command his area at all. He is slow of his line and takes up bad positions he doesnt close angles well and he is too weak and feeble
but he has improved and will continue to with experience but he does have a long way to go
There are much more dependable keepers in the EPL who cost peanuts next to him.
begovic is reliable as is krull as is mingolet all can take crosses and make saves and can have all 3 for price of a de geaLeave a comment:

Great result i would have preferred reina to try and at least do his job as it would have been ten points but im not complainingI'm happy with that, another two points dropped and we have gone nine points clear, Reina is a liability. Long may that continue
13 games to go and we have Everton next! Remember last year.
We've still got to play in the UCL and FA Cup so its going to take a toll on us. Citeh are focused on the league and we're bound to slip up after UCL matches.
Everton win is a must we dont want to give them any encouragemnt the bigger we can make this gap the more their heads will drop.
Realistically 10 wins from 13 should be enough although if they won 13 on the bounce it would go down to GD if we lost 3 but the likelihood of that happening is pretty remote
I think if we can muster 5 wins on the bounce in our next games they will struggle to keep up, we must not take foot off the gasLeave a comment:

pressures on 5hitty now thought it wasnt going to come tho
Look a bit crap lately defence has tightened up a bit other areas seem to be struggling up front not been as fluent lately wingers are not bringing much into games
carricks forms dipped a little as has cleverleys, persies been a bit quiet too
Plus points tho Rooney seems to be awake at last and the defence looks a bit tighter
Our scouse chums can do us a favour tomorrow as i would like to keep a good distance between us in league especially with CL coming up
