World Cup Bid-Stitch up or Cock up?

I hear people saying that Fifa stitched us up on the bid today.But I beg to differ.I think we went into this a bit too hard,we didnt have to take the PM with us as if we dont have a sports minister and I think Puti played a good hand there having realised that we had sentg in the big guns he played the blue eyed boy by saying he didnt want to put pressure on Fifa and and looks like that worked wonders.Another thing,I didnt quite get the idea behind that chap from Manchester that they paraded to the world as the reason why we need the to win.Was that a race card or another stereotypical cliche that backfired.?

When waiting for the result today... it was only ever gonna be a WIN WIN result for me... Would have been pleased if England had got the opportunity to host the World Cup.. On the other hand, given the result... pleased to see the smirk wiped off the face of David Cameron..
