ive heard there will be an ipad mini released this month

what do people think
who is getting one
how much are they going to be

i cant see the point surely its either iphone or ipad but ipad mini dont get it

A must be getting old mate, i admit that a was one of those idiots that could never see the point of the iPad, a didn't see any logical use for it and a thought it would flop,,, it sold like Viagra.
So you would think a would learn ma lesson and predict that the mini will sell well,, nope, a think the mini is a bigger waste of time, is there really a demand for a product that sits between the iPhone and iPad, if this sells well then i am convinced the human race is fu****.

Its not fu**** , its just that a minority of grumpy people like me just can't see the value in most Apple products.
Now the missus loves her iPad,iPhone and probably soon to be Mini and she is a pretty clued up person on technology like some of DK's female members, so a can't bull**** her and make things up, like using a iPad gives you cancer and makes you smell of cheese.
The truth is that Apple could pretty much introduce any hand held product at the moment and people will buy it..

You can point out that its a closed system and is generally overpriced for what it is and it wont make any difference.
You can point out that Apple may claim to be a innovative company but the truth is they are a great styling house and it wont make any difference.
You can point out that Apple are worse than MS and spend a fortune in court protecting stupid patents and it wont make any difference.
You could go on all day and the end result is you get called a MS fanboy.
A never understood why anyone could be a fanboy of a huge corporate company, am quite the opposite and am quick to say when a MS product sucks but Apple fans take fanboy to a whole new level imo..

So will the mini sell, yep it will fly off the shelves...
Will i ever understand why,, probably not..

there just jumping on the 7" bandwagon me thinks would i buy i ?? will come down to price in the end

Apple is set to launch a smaller cheaper version of the iPad, and it will be in shops in less than a month.
The new iPad mini will have a 7.85 inch screen and will start from ?250.
The new gadget will be unveiled by Apple on October 17th and hit stores on 2nd November.

I have an iPad 3 and at times I find it too large and heavy for reading. Compared to my Kindle, the Kindle wins every time when it comes to the whole reading experience.

The only reason I will buy a iPAD mini (already owned a iPAD 3G) is weight. I carry my iPAD on all my trips and the most common comment I made to myself (and my friend) is "How i wish its lighter".
