Any idea help me transfer my iphone contacts to PC?

Has anyone ever wondered why iTunes never made transferring iPhone contacts to PC possible? I want to transfer my all important contacts to computer because the box is full for a few days.So i am looking for the effective program to help me back up my stuffs. Having said that, any suggestions for a good iPhone manager/iPhone transfer software,which is better to be free without payment.
I'm desperate any help would be appreciated...

You can do it for nothing but you need jailbroken phone. If you havent then only easy solution is a program called "contacts tool" from the crapstore. I think its 3 quid.
If you are jailbroken then its available in installous for nowt or link at bottom.
You can export all your contacts to email or whatever in various formats eg txt, csv, etc... etc... so you can save them on pc.
There is another program in cydia (need to be jailbroken) called sim manager where you can copy contacts etc to your sim or another sim then use a different phone to upload the data.
The first method is best..... and easiest..... but if you want download app to your computer here it is.

crApple make doing easy things difficult for some unknown reason. Lose your phone and then you have no way of retrieving any of your numbers. Thats a pain.....
