Help: Running NTSC games on PAL system using Priiloader

Welcome to DK.

If you trying to run an original NTSC game from the disc channel then that may cause a problem as all my game discs are PAL on my 4.3E.

The only things you need to set in PriiLoader are Block Disc Updates, Block Online Updates and I enable Auto-Press 'A' at Health Screen everything else should be disabled. I have a mixture of PAL and NTSC games and they all play.

You need to install some more wads. The easiest way to do this download ModMii6.2.7 and run it from Windows. Use the SU option from the main menu and find the location of the sysCheck.csv from the sysCheck. That will download all missing wads and apps to COPY_TO_SD sub folder just add all files and folders to the SD card.

ModMii only installed 2 d2x v8.0 wads download d2x v8 Final wad pack and install all 7 wads when you install the other wads.

Put the SD card back in the Wii and run Homebrew. Run IOS236 Installer v5 Mod first before you install any other wads. Multi Mod Manager should be the first app listed select it and load it. Once running scroll down to WAD Manager and press 'A' that will default to all wads in the wad folder. If you want to install all wads shown just press 1 that will list all wads you want to install press 'A' again to install them all.

Watch for the Installed OK message after each one. If any don't say that message make a note of the wad name and back out. Scroll down to the wad that didn't install and press the + button the put a green + next to it then press 'A' to see that wads name listed then press 'A' to install again.

If you have a 4.3 then the Shopping Channel will not work. It will suggest you do a system update don't bother just install my RVL-Shopping-21

Do another sysCheck to make sure everything installed correctly and post that.

If that doesn't play any game without going black then the only other thing you can do in PriiLoader is enabled Region Free Everything.

I think I might have messed it up. I didn't understand that a mod is different from a wad. I downloaded and ran ModMii and it downloaded 18 files, and I assumed the v5 Mod was included, so I went ahead and installed the wads. When I tried to run the game, I got a blue screen with Error #2. So I tried to uninstall the wads with ModMii and it refused, tried to reinstall and it refused too.

When I finally realized IOS236 Installer v5 Mod was something that had to be downloaded separately, I went and googled it. I found it here. I installed IOS 236 v5 Mod successfully and then used the YAWM to retry installing the same wads I got with ModMii. That worked, but only to get back where I started. Now the disc channel sees the game but I get a black screen when I try to run it.

Oh, as for Priiloader, I disabled everything except the four you mentioned: Block Disc Updates, Block Online Updates, Auto-Press 'A' at Health Screen, Region Free Everything.

Below is the latest syscheck after all that. ModMii tells me it's up to date now.

Any thoughts?

It appears you can't follow simple instructions I gave you which are exactly the same as I give everyone. After you have run ModMii you add all files and folders to the SD card. Put the SD card back in the Wii and run Homebrew. Run IOS236 Installer v5 Mod first before you install any other wads. ModMii makes a apps\IOS236-v5-Mod folder thats IOS236 Installer v5 Mod that is what shows in Homebrew. Then you install all wads with Multi Mod Manager (MMM) job done.

ModMii won't uninstall anything.

I didn't mention 4 things to set in PriiLoader really only 2 Block Disc Updates, Block Online Updates I enable Auto-Press 'A' at Health Screen everything else should be disabled.

Now that sysCheck looks exactly the same as mine so you must have installed everything in the end.

You don't say which USB Loader your using but USB Loader GX 3.0 has a setting to disable the Error 002.

Going back to your original problem of playing NTSC discs in a PAL Wii I've never done this because all my discs are PAL. The way around this would be to install that game disc onto an external USB hard drive (preferably mains powered). Put the disc in and run USB Loader GX and click on the round button botton left. Providing there is enough space on the drive it will make an image of that game disc onto the drive then you run the game from USB Loader GX as I do with my mixture of PAL and NTSC games and they all play.

If you running USB Loader GX then its easier to install a Forwarder Channel so you have a link on the Wii menu. USB Loader GX if you don't have this on your SD card download USBLoader_GX_V3_0_AllinOnePackage_IOS249.zip and add it to the SD card.

USB Loader GX - UNEO Forwarder Channel V5.1 add USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad to the wad folder on the SD card and installl it with MMM.
