i think its the game itself as others are having similar problems. try disconnecting your wii from the internet or, at the point where the game freezes try playing with one non swap force skylander. this could be a problem activision needs to sort out.
you could also try unfolding the usb cable completely and placing the portal away from the wii. or lastly try freeing up about 1500 blocks on the wii

I'll keep it in mind, thank you. I switched from 223 to 247 and it seems to be working great so far. Time will tell...

              Welcome to DK rshemtov.

I don't see anything wrong with that sysCheck only PriiLoader 0.7 is missing, add it to the SD card and run it from Homebrew and set it to block online and disc updates, you can turn off the 'A' safety prompt on startup I do.

Hi having similar problems here also

Have tried to follow the above mentioned steps but the portal is still still coming up as not detected.
Using USBLoader GX and have the actual portal.

                      He Keithuk,

I followed this guide exactly, or at least I thought I did. Here is my sysCheck, do you see anything out of sorts? I'm still getting the error that the portal is disconnected.

As you may have read on here thats a typical sysCheck of a Wii thats only been softmodded as you have originally showed 16 IOS's that are Stub. You do have IOS36 and IOS236 that's all but you need to reduce that 16 down to 4 or 5.

Download ModMii6.3.0 and run it from Windows. Use the SU option from the main menu and find the location of the sysCheck.csv from the sysCheck which is on the root of the SD card. That will download all missing wads and apps to COPY_TO_SD sub folder just add all files and folders to the SD card.

ModMii only installed 2 d2x v8.0 wads download d2x v8 Final wad pack and install all 7 wads when you install the other wads.

Put the SD card back in the Wii and run Homebrew. You already have IOS236 but it won't hurt to install it again. Run IOS236 Installer v5 Mod first before you install any other wads. Install all wads with Multi Mod Manager (MMM) should be the first app listed select it and load it.

Watch for the Installed OK message after each one. If any don't say that message make a note of the wad name and back out. Scroll down to the wad that didn't install and press the + button the put a green + next to it then press 'A' to see that wads name listed then press 'A' to install again.

If you have to update to 4.3 then the Shopping Channel may work. If it doesn't without doing another system update don't bother just install my RVL-Shopping-21

Do another sysCheck to make sure everything installed correctly and post that.

Cool, this advice still works in 2021. Some pointers for other latecomers. Follow Keithuks advice closely, it's easy to overlook crucial steps. For me, I thought Modmii would copy the relevant files to the SD card, but you have to do it manually. The links don't work anymore and MMM and the IOS236 Installer are not included.

                        ModMii: above link still good.

I finally got Skylanders Swap Force working, on 4.3E, after installing the Final Wad pack. I run the game with USB Loader GX on cIOS 247 or 248. With cIOS 222 or 223 the portal lights up but the screen stays black.

                        Good luck!
