I was in a store the other day and over herd a conversation about a customer returning his new HP laptop,it seems that the battery icon on it was not showing any power and that when he switched it on there was no folders showing on the desk top.
The assistant told him that this was a common error all you need to do was switch the power supply off ,disconnect the battery from the laptop, then hold down the power button for 10seconds and that will sort it,replace the battery and the power supply and Low and behold it did the trick.
When I got home I got a call,from my aunt who had the same problem,I repeated what I herd in the shop and it worked for her.
