apparently, (and this is true) befoe david bowie was cast as the goblin king, Michael Jackson was first choice... would it be as fondly remembered now with jacko stealing a baby and trying to marry a 14 year old?

Sarah, in a fit of jealousy, accidentally killed Toby, and constructed the fantasy world to hide from the truth. In the end, Toby was never found, but she thought it had been, and when her parents came home, her imaginary friends returned to assure her that she can always slip back into her fantasy when the authorities turned up, "should you need us"...
But I suppose some people might have thought that was a little too dark for some reason...
