whats got wireless and whats wired would be a good starting point. obv ps3 is wifi, but what of lappy, desktop, xbox? you may need some homeplugs or a load of ethernet cable.
going on the assumption that desktop and xbox are wired, then these both need hooking up to router with ethernet cable. if they are in different rooms, you may need some homeplugs.
    Fave replies from various threads

In that case setting up the wireless network is alot more easier... since all devices are wireless capable.. I would recommend a good N range dual band wireless router from Netgear... obv. it is a wee bit expensive but it worth it..

No trip switch in your house then?

Typically when a House endures an electrical surge, say from lightening strike & the current amps up in house, if there's any danger, such as spiking, your trip switch should cut in & take out circuitry on that level of the house.

no I have a trip switch, it killed power to my house, but the lightening strike hit just outside in the yard, about 5-10 meters from my house....one hell of a crack...it took out several items all on surge protectors...but I have insurance on this.
I live on the top of a hill....it came down hard on me..
