Devolo conected to wireless router

Hi guys as you know i have been having a few issues getting internet to all my gadgets in my 4 story house i have just purchased 5x homeplug duo and wondered if i have them set up correctly heres my setup
downstairs internet tv pc dm800hd
1st bedroom modem and wireless ddwrt router and dm500
2nd bedroom dm500
3rd bedroom dm500


At the moment i have a homeplug in the 1st bedroom conected to the router

2nd and 3rd bedroom have homeplugs conected to the dm500's

so my questions are should i connect the homeplug to the usb of the modem

and the setup downstairs is currenty conected to a homeplug into a ddwrt router thats conected to tv dm800 and tv

the modem would be the first point of internet into house from supplier,it would need a homeplug and lan cable to distribute internet through household,if you had 4 devices in a room a router and a homeplug and lan cable,1 device in 1 room and 1 homeplug,hopefully all wiring in house is connected or you wont get a connection from circuit.

thanks mate the modem at the moment is conected to a ddwrt router the homeplug is conected to the router lan should i conect the homeplug straight to the usb of the modem ?

i have not seen a usb connection for a home network,do you mean a cat5 like on the homeplug?

no mine are devolo homeplug duo it has 1 usb and 1 lan conection

When useing Homeplugs the main one should be conected to the Router via a ethernet cable ,
