    30 to 40 meter monster run ..which cable

    hi ..guys and girls any network experts that can help me please..


    have a choice of rj 11 to rj 11 or cat rj45 to 45 monster run ..


    not sure which one to use .. basicly from filter .. small rj11 then long rj45 ..

    or long rj11 to router far away .. 30 to 40 meters ..rj11 would be easier but its reliablilty im after many thanks not sure of the loses down the cable.
    dreambox 800 tech 500 ( ubuntu 10 .04)... 1 m dish v box 2 acuator ..

      That is not a MONSTER run.
      Any standard cable will cope with that.

          Cat5 cable can up to 80 to 100 meters (300 feet) no problem... After 300 feet you might experience degradation of the signal...

          So if you need 40 to 50m lengths you are fine...
