i use cyberlink try it i find it brill, burns in dvd player format, some dvd players will only play + or - dvds so check what your dvd player will play first before burning also get good quality dvds region free if poss, verbatim are the best but the dearest

I use winAVI to convert and then I put the conversion through dvdshrink to burn. Whole thing takes about 20mins to convert then burn. I swear by those programs.

It depends on the file(s) your trying to burn/play.

              Heres what you should do:

              For .iso.img (usually 4.7gb retails/r5/scr/converts) use imageburn.
For divx/xvids you will need to convert them through something along the line of vso convertx2dvd.

or just get a divx player then that should read everything

really, does it create menus, chapters, language or subtitle options on the DVD? Does it tell you whether it will be able to make a goo DVD out of the file first and preview it for you? I know VSO does, that is why I use it instead of Nero to make a DVD movie from an AVI. Nero is great for other things (I have been using it for years) but it does not cut the mustard on this one..

If Nero can do these things please advise how as I honestly seem to have missed it..

quite slow more like !!! it took over 2hrs for it to encode the video, longer for the audio & then it could burn the dvd !! i uninstalled it straight after. no way should it take 5hrs to get 2 movies on a cd. i could direct one in that time !!!

use convertxtodvd and make sure the media that you burn with works with the dvd player.
