    Sound card problem?

    hi all

    for some unknown reason the sound from my PC sounds like a scratched record.

    the sound is Ok then it seems as though the sound jumps, this happens when playing a CD or even listening to radio online, is this a problem with my sound card.

    Much appreciate some advice.

      Has your pc got on board sound? and if so have you tried it and is the result te same m8.....................

              tried unplugging the speakers, windows media player tells me that there is no sound system to play CD, so I am assuming that there is no onboard sound system.

              What can I try now Lagerland

                  If you have on board you will have a lite green 3.5 jack hole on the mb.If not change it 6 or 7 quid on the bay not much more on the high street ......................

                      every motherboard has onboard sound like larger said the green hole
                      also if u were using a pci slot soundcard then u will not have the motherboard sound driver installed which u can proberly get from windows update

                      have u bent the cable to the speaker ?
