    3 dongle---no network

does anyone use 3 mobile broadband?

i have the ZTE MF627 huwaei dongle, it installs ok but when i open 3 connect it says initialising, then just says "no network".

i no there is a good network here as i get full bars HSDPA on my phone, my mate also has exactly the same problem, my lappy is on windows 7 and his is on vista

Hi @krazylegz... Is this dongle flashed to use the o2 iphone sim card? If it is you can change the settings in the telstra turbo manager to work with a 3 sim card...

no mate its not flashed as i use my mobile sim card in it as i have the internet bundle.

i suspect its to do with drivers, so have been looking for the latest dashboard to manaully download it but not having much luck at the minute

tried 3 and vodafone where i live and had bad signal the o2 works well though

I had this problem on Win7 earlier.

I simply uninstalled, then reran the install under XP SP2 compatability.

3 Dongle software showing "No Network" Possible Solution

Hi to all those with problem getting network on 3 dongle ZTE.
I had same trouble after installing Service Pack 2 on Vista.
Found the only way I could connect was by uninstalling then reinstalling dongle software each time I rebooted laptop.
I have just noticed that after uninstalling 3 software that there is some other software for the dongle under ZTE.
I uninstalled that, then when I reinstalled software the drivers were reinstalled for the modem.
After software had loaded I received same message "No Network" so pulled dongle out, waited a few seconds, reinserted dongle into usb - and to my amazement it worked!!
I then disconnected, removed dongle and restarted laptop.
After reboot I initialised the 3 software, then inserted dongle and nearly fell off my chair when software scanned and found network and allowed me to connect.

So to recap, just uninstall 3 software, then scroll down and uninstall ZTE. Now reinstall dongle software and ZTE drivers reinstall.
If No Network is displayed remove dongle for a few seconds, then reinsert.
That's it, at least it seems to have worked for me.

                            Hope this helps

Thank you very much. I've tried this and am hopeful that it has solved the problem with my 3 dongle and Vista SP2 (I won't know fully until I've re-booted over a few days).

I've been struggling to find a solution to this so thank you very much.

(Before re-installing the software I also searched and deleted files beginning 'wilog' - there was one in my pre-fetch folder).

Of course, if I have further problems I shall come back
