    DELL D520 administration password

Hi I have an DELL D520 and I need the master passwd for BIOS ,or how can I disable the administration password at startup. is something like #HQKDP2j-595B .I read something about to replace the keyboard controller but I read that is necessary to read the BIOS flash (sst25vf080b) and to disable the BIOS password or to change it with another one that I know .I put the file in the archive and upload it here .

    Thank you very much.

Remove from mains, take out battery, open up the back and see if the battery on the mainboard is accessible, if it is remove it for 1/2 hour and then put back in. With luck the password will have gone. You will have to set date/time again.

          Can you boot into windows?

If so boot into safe mode by pressing f8. Once in safe mode

          ctrl+alt+delete. task manager

          File run.. type control userpasswords2

Remove all admin and change passwords.

Reboot into windows and all is done.

To get round the BIOS password you would have to call Dell and they will ask you for a number that appears on the BIOS screen . Once they have that number they will give you password which will unlock the BIOS password.
