    Can't find drivers

    Hi guys,

I have a PC with Asus M2N-X plus motherboard, I have searched and searched and can't find drivers for it.

I have been to Asus website and there are only BIOS downloads, no drivers as far as I can see.
I cant even get my ethernet working, i have tried several Realtek drivers, with no luck.

Would someone be so kind and point me somewhere where I can download them as I lost the recovery CD.

    Many Thanks

This motherboard should have the nVidia chipset, so you should be able to get most of the drivers for that from nVidia.com, if not all of them. Just do the automatic detect.

Thanks guys, well i have had problems getting the network card working without the drivers.
I have downloaded the chipset driver and that installed the network driver. Now I can do the search for other drivers, what tool can i use for that, please?

Also I have tried to download driver for my graphics card, and when i install it, the monitor does not display anything and goes to stand by.
My gf cards is Xpertvision Nvidia 9600GT 1gb.

          Many thanks for your help

For the 9600GT, did you do the automatic detect or the manual install drivers? If you do the automatic detect, does it state that you have the newest version?

Are you able to see anything at all through the 9600GT? Or are you using the motherboard video, installing drivers, and then trying to use it?

Do you know for sure the 9600GT is 100% working (pulled from a working machine? Brand new?) ? What power supply do you have in this computer?

as for the other drivers, since you already installed the chipset drivers, try to DELETE the "Unknown Device" in Device Manager, then do "Scan for Hardware Changes" ... See if Windows picks up the new drivers. I've had to do that before....

                I use www.driveragent.com
You have to pay, but for someone like who fixes pcs all the time, it's very well worth it.

i found M2N-X Plus on the Asus Support site
here are the links to the pages.

                    M2N-X Plus

                    Specifications Page

                    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

                    Downloads/Drivers (select your operating system)

                    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

if its windows 7 your trying to look for drivers i think certain drivers were stopped before windows 7 like the chipset.

nvidia is currently not supporting the nForce 430/6100 chipset under Windows 7.

                    hope it helps.

Thank u everyone for input. I have an update.

I have installed the chipset drivers from Asus website, that installed the the network drivers. Them I have intalled majority of the updates from there too.

I have used that French website to analyze the system and downloaded most of my drivers.

My PC still seams to have problem with the GF card driver, when I install the Nvidia GeForce 260.99 when I rebeoot after the installation I cant see anything on my monitor. However when I have installed the alternative driver Nvidia GeForce FX 175.19 I can run both monitors no problem.

I have runned that untility to find any missing drivers again, and it seams everything is installed.

THE PROBLEM; i have installed divX and Flash Player, but when i play either video is practicaly unwatchable, its worse then slideshow. Also I often max the CPU, by just doing few simple tasks. I have tried diffrent browsers (IE 6,7,8, chrome, mozilla) to help the Flash problem with no change.

I am running XP SP2, I have Asus M2N-X plus board, Nvidia 9600GT 1gb card, 2gb RAM, and amd 6000+ dual core processor so dont think i should have issues playing xvid or flash video

@Melosi, I have had a look at my system in safe mode, and i dont seam to have access to GF card driver, so dont see way to change the settings

Any help to fix my issues would be greatly appriciated, Many thanks student

                          just some info.

1.could be a corrupt driver remove all new and old drivers in safe mode for nvivda quite common for them mess up.

2.it might be the drivers are not detecting the hardware due to a software problem with the directories
and registry when installing. try installing next time but during the installiation of the files part go to
device manager and scan for hardware changes to see if it can detect the hardware while its installing
drivers because all you might be getting is the driver software but no hardware.
