Help with Asus Eee 900A Please..............

I tried to install Win XP on Asus Eee 900A and I think I screwed it up.

Now I have tried to restore it to the factory state, using the original DVD that came with it and using an external CD/DVD Drive but it keep's coming up with no "System disk. Please change bootable device and press any key to reboot....".

I also tried F9 and is not working. the recovery partition is steel there and not deleted.

I have loaded flash disk that known as Memory stick with all the files from the original Asus Eee 900A restore disk and is not kicking at all.
If you have experienced the above problems and managed to fix this machine in the past please shade some info that will help me.

This machine is belong to a little girl and she keep asking me if I have fixed it.
Please please help if you can.
    Kindest regards. Salami

During install booting remove the Hard Disk in BIOS then after the first install session set HD as 1st and CD as 2nd in BIOS
-install XP and drives from the Asus eee Support CD.

Also you can try to make a boot XP disc on your flash drive but CD/DVD should be a better solution.

Many thanks for your reply steppenwolf.

I don't want to install XP as the Eee recovery CD don't have XP in it. when this Asus Atom Eee 900a bought first time was no win XP in it.

All I want to do is to use the recovery CD and restore this machine to the factory settings because what ever HDD in it is only 8GB Storage and 1GB Memory, is only used for internet and emails.
