Epson RX450 Scanner Problem

Hi there dear members ,my mate just formated his pc and now he cant get his Epson Photo Stylus RX 450 to work properly,he got an original driver disc which says RX425 and RX 450 on it ,every time we try to put the drivers into the pc,the printer will work but it tells us the scanner is not connected ,then its the ussual pater of checking the cables ect, we have done this many times ,we have even removed the programe files and started over again but its the same,we cant get the scanner to work, ive been on the epson sight and some other sights to try and get a driver for a RX450 but cant can any one help please, the operating system is XP

Have you browsed the CD and are there Twain drivers on there? should be!

If so

Uninstall everything again. switch printer off and disconnect usb cable from PC.

Put CD in and install printer software. It will ask you to connect printer and turn on. should install correct printer driver/software. Reboot Pc.

Explore the CD and find the scanner software. Manually install software by clicking on and starting setup.

This should install Twain Drivers which make the scanner work

Done just what you said ,it stayed the same tried it again ,till the same, switched it on again the next day and the scanner sterted to work ?/ Strange but thats computers for you,my thans to our members who helped me.
