computer shuts down mouse light stays on

    computer shuts down mouse light stays on

    When my computer shuts down all the usb slots stay on eg. the mouse light stays on.

    Any help would be great.

    Go into your Bios and see if there is a setting to wake on USB ( or anything else) similar to wake on Lan and turn it off.

      could be your ram

      might want to check your ram see if any of them are damaged.

        If your computer is Asus make then some of this modules will leave the USB ports on the same as mine so you can be able to charge PDA, mobile-phone or any device that use's USB.
        if that never happened before then follow "Allycoops" advice.

            Yep, a computer is never really "off" if you just use the Windows shutdown. Fans, discs etc. are off, but the chassis is still "live".

              some boards i've had, ASUS defo , have jumpers on to set which USB headers stay live after shutdown.... defo check for a 'wake_on.. USB/keyboard/mouse' setting in the BIOS too.
