HI I generally boot in safe mode and the try a system restore, if that fails to run then from the run prompt type msconfig and hit enter (still in safe mode by the way) and check all the startup programs. If you see anything that is represented bt numbers then get rid of that first. Some of the old malware apps like AntiVirus2000 is shown like that. The reboot and try system restore again r any of the malware removal programs.
i had this problem to, what i did was i downloaded rkill to a usb stick and then loaded to PC it killed the malwear process that were running then i updated malwarebytes and superantispyware and ran full system scans and deleted all.?RKill.com Download Link
