Sadly very few phone can be unlocked easily now days!

New Sony Ericsson's and the latest Nokia's being the worst!

The best route is to buy the unlock code from a reputable trader. E-Bay is worth a look just make sure that the trader has a large feedback with as close to 100% as is possible...

There is on online service here: http://unlockathome.com/Sonyericsson/Xperia%20X8

Cost is around ?25 per code...

            Hmmmm...

It's not all about price! A while ago there was a cheap unlocking solution for Sony Ericsson phones... It patched the device and worked well but sadly when a user used the Sony Ericsson update service a dead phone was the result!

The other bonus with the 25 quid rip-off as you call it, is the fact that the warranty of the handset is still intact!

            You pays your money etc...

dont think it will be cheap either way mate cos even if you go to someone with se tool or similar they will need to do it online via credits so i`ll be surprised if you get it done for less than ?20 at a high st shop
Oh and by the way if my post has been at all helpfull

Sound's about right, some people forget that certain brands are easy to unlock like Samsung but others like Nokia and Sony Ericsson are not, often requiring servers for unlocking!

Gone are the days of doing unlocks at home...
