    MTN SIMCARD

    HI guys

I have purchased a simcard from Cyprus' its a MTN.
I purchased it so hopefully i can add some credit and insert it into my windows 8 Nokia lumia and share the internet (when i go back to Cyprus) so i'm able to connect my other devices to it via tethering.

Does anyone now if this is possible

Do i have to register it in Cyprus or can i register in the uk

I'm looking at a package that gives me internet usage
    Thanks guys

Meaty I'm starting to worry about you.

He's bought a Cyprus SIM card for when he goes on holiday.

Not sure how to set up tethering on a lumia. I'll check at work tomorrow.

MTN Cyprus operate 3G on 2100MHz (so OK for the Nokia) but only in five main cities, so if you are outside of these you'll only get EDGE service!

Cyprus Telecom's do not seem to have any 3G service!

You need to update your phone to the 'Tango' release that came out around July last year. But there have been some issues with the tethering software.
If it's a newer phone, the tethering options should already be in the settings menu.

Found this to do with setting up tethering if you have problems. Techkn0w Lumia 800
