can?t get satellite signal on my first set-up

I live in High rise flat with a communal satellite connection

I have attached leads from SAT 1 to LNB 1 IN
    &
SAT 2 to LNB 2 IN
from my satellite wall plate output
    to my BOX

The Wizard searches for the satellite signal but reports icannot find signal check connections
....the connections seem to be OK

My leads are F Plug To F Plug Satellite Cable Coaxial Lead*
    from
Play.com - Buy Cable-Tex F Plug To F Plug Satellite Cable Coaxial Lead Black 3m online at Play.com and read reviews. Free delivery to UK and Europe!

    my BOX is
Humax Foxsat HDR 500GB Freesat HD Satellite Receiver and Digital TV Recorder

any clues to get me started < please

If it says sat1/2 on the wall plate it should be for satellite.
any chance you can check your box on a neighbors or check a known working box on your wall plate.you could also ask the flat manager if your outlet has been disabled.
