    freesat in Sweden?

would I be able to take my freesat box (already tuned in) to Sweden? I am on 57 degrees North, same as Aberdeen. Or is there some kind of region thing that will ~~~~ it up?
I hope to get a dish over there, rather than carry one in hand luggage.

Unfortunately, most of the freesat channels are on Astra 2D which is spot focused on the UK and Ireland with reception falling off very rapidly to the east. Sweden isn't in the reception footprint at all !

I am taking my basic Lidl box, what direction would I need to point to to find ANYTHING in English... it's getting where we have to talk to each other here.

        I am at 57 degree 50'23" N, 14 degree 50' 00" E

Well that was a waste of time, only had a number of presets in there, could pick up a signal (thor I think) but sat box never had thor in there to tune into..
Went to sat man over there and he said minimum subscription is 2 year.

You should be able to use your Freesat box in sweden, just point your dish at 28.2E, but I think you'll need at least a 1m dish to get any channels, a 1.8m would be favourable..

DIY and professional tools to point your satellite dish. Get accurate information for your location with our online satellite finder so that you can get the job done and watch satellite tv in no time.

And a 1.8 meter dish is around 4000 sek brand new, so question is, is it worth it?
