humax format problem

i installed my HUMAX FREESAT BOX everything goin well except, when i plug my mem stick in the box won't recognise the format. I used easus to format the stick to fat 32 plug it in to humax box and i still get the same message. Can any of you guys tell me what i should be doin and how? i'm a bit puzzled.
