    DM500C For Freesat?

Can I modify a DM500C to receive freesat?

I would need to replace the tuner with a satellite one, but would it then support the freesat platform?

    Thanks.

Dont think the DM500 have swappable tuners!!
Maybe someone else can confirm this???

But a DM500S will definately support the Freesat Platform, exept for the epg, as it uses its own.

I believe the only difference between the units is the tuner, which can be removed and/or purchased seperately for the 500 series.

Would the EPG suit freesat? Would it support the forthcoming iPlayer?

      Cheers.

Tuners on the 500 are NOT interchangeable unless you can solder and your better off getting another box because its a very tricky process unless you have the right solder station and tips etc.

Even if you swap the tuners, because the 500s is not freesat approved you won't be able to get the freesat EPG
