It was possible with the 3100 +box (and freeview card) but I don't know if it still works with the new white card. Can put like to site in case I get band ok?

Hi there
I bought an amstrad drx890 on the free market( no sky offer or subsidies).
I try to use the recording function first on movies for men (I have a sky ftv card paired to the receiver).No luck.
i was told I had to pay 10.5 pounds a month subscription for a HD recording pack ,even if i do not want to record any of the sky channels ,since I receive astra 19 East fta channels as well.
So my property(the expensive receiver) can receive programs from Astra 19e and hot bird via other channels but Sky prohibits me the full use of my property.(Violation my consumer rights??)
Is there a way to bypass sky!!
I would appreciate any hints
