    Multiroom freesat

Hi everyone. Just got a Sagem box for the bedroom. We have a humax freesat in the living room connected to a sky dish (No longer have sky) with a quad LNB.

Connected the new box up all work great. However, just discovered that when I turn the Humax off in the living room, the Sagem loses reception.
Says no reception or poor signal. reception quality is 60-85% and strenght is 100%. Anyone got any ideas?

are you running the sagem from a new feed from the lnb.if so it should work independantly ok.try one of the other outlets on the quad to see if it cures it.

        Thanks

Thanks...wirings ok, don't really see how it couldn't be as the quality is excellent when both boxes are on.

Tried all connections on the LNB. No luck.

        Maybe time for new LNB?

was it a sky+ box you had with 2 feeds, can you switch boxes around and see if problem is still there, also connection is good and secure on back of boxes.

            Sky+

Hi, yes we previously had sky+, have tried boxes in both rooms still the same. ie the one in the living room seems to "control" whichever box is in the bedroom.

as each box has its own lnb feed all boxes should work together or one at a time in different areas as its all on separates ,if all connections are tight on lnb and waterproof then maybe a faulty lnb,if the cable was faulty any box connected to that cable should have a problem.does the sagem need 2 feeds like the sky+

                Feeds

Both boxes are single feeds. Used self amal tape to seal at LNB. All F connectors tightened. Looks like it's the LNB. Have ordered one anyway.

Just wondering if you switch power off completely or off with the remote control

sorry to ask this but the living room has 2 cables into it as was sky+ yes? can you say if the bedroom freesat is wired independently to the lnb with its own cable and not joined into the other system?
